the sun is made
of fireflies
trapped in the spider
of the universe’s web
it entangles
each lit-up little bug
with such careful
precision –
tying them,
knotting them,
keeping them still;
it waits until night time,
when the moon
rises high,
to feast
on the light-source
to darken
the sky.
